AlertaES is a state alert system for hydrometeorological risks and natural disasters that links Espírito Santo and its municipalities to the national Civil Defense network. The platform issues warnings through a public portal, SMS 40199, and the Defesa Civil Alerta channel (mobile phones), in addition to publishing meteorological and geo-hydrological bulletins, risk maps, and seasonal forecasts. Since 2024, the system has operated with full integration into the national infrastructure (IDAP) and maintains direct communication with municipal Civil Defense bodies, reducing response time and strengthening a culture of prevention.
